The 1st day

Ashgabat

Meet tourists at the Ashgabat International Airport. Transfer and accommodation at the hotel.

9:00 Visit local attractions: the Ark of Neutrality, Independence Park, monument of Akhalteke horses the memorial dedicated to the earthquake, the National Museum, independence period parks and monuments and an impressive Ertoghrul Ghazi mosque. In the afternoon visit historical site of Old Nisa (UNESCO site), an ancient capital of Parthia, III century BC – III century AD (18 km). Continue the tour by visiting Gypjak Mosque and Mausoleum of the late

President of Turkmenistan S. Niyazov. Return to Ashgabat.

The 2nd day

Ashgabat –  Horse farm – Base Camp 1

09:00 Drive to the Horse Farm (55 km).

Meet the local equestrian professionals. Choose the horse, depending on your level of training. Horseback riding to the Base Camp No. 1 (24 km)

Overnight at the camp.

The 3rd day

Base Camp 1 – Camp 2: Kamli district (22 km)

Horseback riding to Camp 2

The 4th day

Camp 2 – Camp 3: Nepes district

Ashgabat: Hippodrome or International Akhalteke Equestrian Complex

09:00 Akhalteke Festival at the International Akhalteke Equestrian Complex.

Attend various festivities, such as races, contests, ceremonies of awards of the best Akhalteke horses. Afternoon – free time. Farewell dinner.

The 9th day

Ashgabat: Departure to Europe

Early transfer to the Ashgabat International Airport to board a flight to Europe (Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines, Turkmen Airlines). End of the Tour.

Breakfast – at the hotel.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

This horseback riding trip is for travelers who has riding experience and first-time riders in an outdoor environment. The offered equestrian route is not technically complicated and takes traveler through a mostly flat desert terrain; the riding requires good stamina.

A local instructor who makes sure that traveler gets to know the characteristic traits of Akhalteke horses and helps to choose the horse that best matches skills will conduct the first day of adaptation. The correct choice, will allow traveler to have a pleasant stay.

During this trek, a local equestrian professional who knows the horses well and who manages of all the specific issues of Akhalteke horses will always accompany traveler.

An English or French speaking guide will also accompany the group.

The cargo carrier vehicles will transport travel’s belongings, equipment, food and beverages are needed during this trek.

Require bringing for a traveler – own sun hat, boots, gloves, and riding helmet.

Provide a specific insurance (extreme sport) covering stay on site and communicate it to travel agency before arrival. Especially the emergency number.

The group consists of a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 12 people to maintain the best quality required by agency for pleasant stay.
