The 1st day

Farap Border– Turkmenabad – Merv –Mary

Today right after breakfast say good-bye to Uzbekistanand make our way to Turkmenistan border Alat/Farap. Upon arrival to the border point go through custom procedures and continue drive to Mary province about 4 hrs. (270km), the group stop for a lunch in Turkmenabad. In the afternoon visit Ancient Merv– Merv was located at the road crossing of the Great Silk Road and quickly became one of the largest and biggest cities of the ancient world and was one of the most important capitals of Islam along with Baghdad, Cairo and Damascus. Guided tour: Gyz Gala, Erk Gala, Soltan Gala, Soltan Sanjar Mausoleum, IbnZeid Mausoleum. Driving to Mary city accommodate at the hotel.

The 2nd day

Mary-gonurpede – Museum of History

After the breakfast, the group will visit the 5th center of civilization Margush / Gonurdepe. Located north-east site 90 km from Mary city. A remarkable Bronze Age civilization existed here, known variously as Margush, meaning ‘lowland’, or by the Greek name of Margiana. It has been gradually uncovered since the early 1970s by belated Professor Viktor Sarianidi – the leader of Margiana Archaeological Expedition.

Lunch. After lunch visit National History and Ethnology Museum.

The 3rd day

Mary – Ashgabat

After early breakfast, hotel check out, drive to the capital of Turkmenistan Ashgabat (360km). On the way, will visit:

the fortress of Abiverd. An ancient settlement Abiverd – one of eight historical reserves of Turkmenistan comparable to Kunya-Urgench, Nissa, Merv, Dakhistan.

the ruins of the 15th century Seyit Jamal-ad-Din Mosque. The mosque was built in 1456 through the finance of one Mohammed Khudaiot. Lunch.

Accommodate at the hotel. Then a city tourthe Monument of Independence standing in a beautiful park, a fountain-monument devoted to the 10th anniversary of independence (sculptural depiction of ten Akhal-Teke horses placed on the top of a beautiful fountain) and impressive Ertogrul Ghazi mosque.

The 4th day

Ashgabat – Gypjak – Nisa – Darvaza (Gas, water and clay crater)

After breakfast visit “Old Nisa”-The Sanctuary of Parthian Kings, Nisa was the capital of Parthian Empire which lasted 600 years and was greatest enemy of Rome Empire and UNESCO site, continue with “Gypjak” Mosque and Turkmenistan’s first Presidents mausoleum. Lunch. In the afternoon we will drive to the village named “Bahardok”,to see village life of Turkmen people. Continue to the Water, Clay and Gas Crater, which is located to the North of Ashgabat. In the evening, observe the spectacular and fascinating view of Gas crater.

Overnight at the tent/ yurta under star sky

The 5th day

Darvaza – Dashoguz – Kone-Urgench- Ashgabat

After early breakfast, drive to Kone-Urgench at 07:00 in the morning, takes nearly 4 hours. Architectural monuments of Kone-Urgench, Capital of Khorezm in X-XII centuries; Mausoleum of Najm al-Din al-Kubra, Tyurabek Khanum, Il-Arslan, Tekesh Ibn Hadzhibey, the highest minaret in Central Asia KutlygTimur. Lunch. Drive back to Dashoguz city tour and transfer to airport for evening local flight to Ashgabat at 20:10/21:00. From Ashgabat airport drive for dinner.  Overnight at the hotel.

The 6th day

Museum of History–Nokhur settlement– Ashgabat

After breakfast visit The National Museum of History, continue to Nokhur settlement. In the west of Kopet Dag range there is a region settled by Turkmens of the mountain tribe Nokhur, that have for centuries preserved their unique culture, traditional crafts and architecture. Nokhur (also Nohur) is in the list of 100 the most romantic places of the world. Picturesque villages Old and New Nokhur on the mountain plateau are beauty of two-store houses of unique architecture that are on the mountain cliffs among vines, almond and pomegranate trees. Lunch. Back to Ashgabat, dinner.

The 7th day

Howdan/Bajgiran border

After breakfast, hotel check out and transfer to Howdan / Bajigiran to cross Turkmenistan-Iran border. Cross the border at 11:00 – 12:00 pm.
