The 1st day

Ashgabat – Serdar

Meet at the Ashgabat International Airport with local guide and driver, transfer to the hotel. Accommodation at the hotel and rest. Visit to Baharly Carpet Factory (100 km to the west of Ashgabat). Get to learn about the history of creation of Akhal carpets. Drive to Serdar city.

In the afternoon, visit Serdar Carpet Factory. Get acquainted with the stages involved in carpet manufacturing, learn various carpet-weaving techniques and take a look at hand-made items.

Return to Ashgabat.

The 2nd day

Ashgabat: Excursion

08:00 Drive to Oriental Bazaar “Altyn Asyr”, to see the beauty of Turkmen carpets and silver jewelry, Souvenirs. Continuing the tour route to the local horse farm to see the Akhal-Teke horses. Output of horses of different colors, horse food on the horse inside the farm. Coffee-break. Visit the “Ancient Nisa” – the sanctuary Of the Parthian kings (object under the protection of UNESCO), continued visits to the mosque “Rukhy” and the Mausoleum of the first President of Turkmenistan. Then The History Museum.  With an extensive ethnographic section including a large collection of Turkmen ornaments, carpets, stuffed animals, a fully decorated Yurt and ceramics from the time of the Mongolian occupation. Archaeological section, artifacts excavated in Merv and Margush, ceramics, weapons, household items and jewelry. See the evening illumination of the city.

The 3rd day

Ashgabat

09: 00 visit to the Carpet Museum, founded in 1994, has the largest collection of Turkmen carpets, ranging from the middle ages to the 21st century, including more than 1000 carpets, 18th and 19th century. 

“Russian” market is a market stalls under a canopy and stalls around, next to the shopping center “Altyn Asyr”.  Sale of items of national style, hand and machine works, jewelry, textile clothing, household items, fruits and vegetables.

In the afternoon visit the carpet showroom, and the house of models. The collections developed by modern designers are in great demand in Turkmenistan and abroad.

The 4th day

Ashgabat

Mary – Turkmenabat

An early transfer to airport for a domestic flight to Mary at 06:30/07:10.

Upon arrival in the city of Mary, visit the Carpet Factory.

Carpet weaving lessons on the loom next to an experienced carpet maker.

Visit the wool processing Factory, founded in 2014. The raw materials produced by the plant fully comply with industry requirements and volumes, which allows partially exporting products to foreign consumers. 

15:00 trip to the city of Turkmenabad.

The 5th day

Halach–Turkmenabat –Ashgabat

At 07:30 drive to Halach. A visit to the local Carpet Factory, where specialists of creative carpet weaving will introduce you to the production facilities of the factory and advanced weaving equipment purchased specifically for the production of giant carpets.  Lunch in Halach. Return to the city of Turkmenabat. Evening transfer to the airport for a flight to Ashgabat at 18: 20/19: 10.

The 6th day

Ashgabat

Transfer to an international airport for a long-distance flight according to the schedule. End of the tour.
